ACM Parts packs more than 16,000 meals to help Victorians in need
Did you know more than 4 million Australians have experienced food insecurity in the past 12 months?
The stats on food poverty in Australia are sobering.
That’s why ACM Parts recently volunteered with Foodbank, Australia’s largest hunger relief organisation, and packed nearly 10,000 kilograms of food orders for charities in Victoria.
The pantry for Australian charities, Foodbank helps not-for-profits feed vulnerable people around the country, providing relief to more than 710,000 Australians every month.
Packing cereal boxes, crates of drinks and Easter treats, the team worked enthusiastically to ready food orders for charities including the Salvation Army, Whitelion and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
ACM Parts packed a whopping 9255 kilograms of food orders. That’s the equivalent of 16,675 meals – enough to provide a family of four with three meals a day for over three-and-a-half years!
Fantastic work, guys!
